The art of barrel-aging beer has been around for over 2000 years, but only in recent times has this delicate science been brought back to life and given its own flair here in the American craft beer scene. Brewers have been aging everything from pilsners to stouts in a variety of barrels that once held spirits like rum, whiskey, tequila, wine, gin, and Fernet. At Indeed Brewing, many of our barrel-aged concoctions are aged in rum, whiskey, or bourbon barrels for 10 months or more, most notably Rum King and Whiskey Queen Imperial Stouts.

2018 was a stellar year for us at Indeed Brewing! We premiered new brands like Flavorwave IPA and Mexican Honey Light, raised a significant amount of funds for local nonprofits through Indeed We Can, won some pretty sweet awards, invested in new technology, and toasted so many new friends. Hello, Helio! It’s time to welcome back Wooden Soul: Heliotropic, a Brett Saison Aged in Oak Barrels. The original release from our wild, sour, and barrel-aged Wooden Soul series, Heliotropic returns this summer in handy 375 ml bottles for your on-the-go, beachcombing, park roaming season.

Indeed Brewing is thrilled to announce that Wooden Soul: Cherry Dust, our Wood-Aged Sour Red Ale made with Tart Cherries, will become available in the taproom on draft and in 750 ml bottles on April 13th.
