Indeed's Wooden Soul on Display at Rare Beer Fest

We’re packing up something special for The Northern Lights Rare Beer Fest at the Minnesota History Center this Saturday. We’ll be joining 30 amazing craft breweries from around the country to showcase three exceptional brews from Wooden Soul, our robust living-beer barrel-aging program.

For Rare Beer Fest, we’ve chosen to highlight two never-before-seen variations of Wooden Soul 1: Heliotropic, a Saison aged with Brettanomyces in wine barrels. The first offering is dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Azacca – hop varieties that push its tropical fruit character. The second is fruited with peach and mango to complement its unique tropical, stonefruit and vinous characteristics. We’ll also be introducing Wooden Soul: Ephemeral – a series of fleeting Wooden Soul one-offs. Batched in a single keg, they are truly here today and gone tomorrow. This specific Ephemeral is drawn from a port barrel, and you can expect dark red fruits, port character, balanced sourness and a distinct, rich funk.

Come find us at Rare Beer Fest, say “hi” to Indeed Head Brewer Josh Bischoff (he’s around here somewhere), sip on some Wooden Soul, and let us know what you think. You can also currently find Wooden Soul 1, 2 and 6 in our cozy Northeast taproom.

Live south of the Twin Cities area? This weekend we will also be pouring at Brew-Beard-Bulls#!t Beer Fest in Austin, Minnesota and Wings & Brew Fest in Welch, Minnesota. We hope to see you there!
