Indeed We Can
Indeed We Can is supporting the Park People and Feline Rescue in April
Give back and get more involved with the new-and-improved Indeed We Can.
Our employee-driven charitable giving program now supports one organization throughout the entire month — every month. On Wednesdays in Minneapolis and Tuesdays in Milwaukee, you’ll have the option to round up your bill and on one Wednesday and one Tuesday of the month (usually the last one), we’re donating 100% of taproom proceeds -- this includes all pints of beer, Sparkling THC, to-go beer, snacks, n/a drinks, and Indeed merchandise.
Stop by the taproom on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to raise a glass and find out new ways to lend a hand beyond drinking a pint of beer.
Milwaukee's April organization is The Park People (TPP), which was founded in 1977 by Joy Teschner, a member of the former Milwaukee County Parks Commission who believed there was a need for citizen input and oversight for Milwaukee County Parks. Today, The Park People is a nonprofit organization that:
↠ Educates Milwaukee County residents about the value of the park system
↠ Encourages people to help improve their area parks
↠ Helps preserve the natural integrity of the parks
↠ Serves as a liaison between neighborhoods and the Milwaukee County Parks Department
↠ Assists with fundraising for various park improvement projects
The Park People was nominated by Cullen, Indeed's Milwaukee taproom manager: “I chose The Park People for Indeed We Can because our green spaces are vital to a healthy city. The Park People do incredible work advocating for our parks to secure necessary funding, and also getting their hands dirty with weed-out programs. They’re also just a great place to meet other like-minded folks to do some fishing and kayaking!”
TPP's taproom event is Tuesday, April 23 in Milwaukee. RSVP on Facebook here.
Minneapolis' April organization is Feline Rescue. Since 1997, Feline Rescue has provided care for cats through its limited intake, no-kill shelter and foster programs. It provides shelter and appropriate adoption placement for domestic cats in need of compassionate care. This includes in-house veterinary care and support through our volunteer network.
Feline Rescue was nominated by Ellen, Indeed's director of business services: "As a lifelong cat owner, I'm passionate about Feline Rescue's work to provide all kinds of cats compassionate care and a loving home. There are many organizations in the metro area doing similar work, but Feline Rescue has a soft spot in my heart for connecting me with my cat Goose (formerly known as Harry). Goose was the perfect example of a cat whose story could have gone very differently had Feline Rescue not stepped in to help - after being taken in as a stray, he required extensive dental surgery and a full shave to remove his matted coat. On top of that, he was found to be FIV+, and was terrified of interacting with people. Some shelters may have turned Goose away or euthanized him, but Feline Rescue looked past his rough exterior, invested in his care, and gave him a chance to find a loving home. Join me in raising a glass to cats like Goose, and to Feline Rescue for providing them the helping hand they need to find their forever home."
Feline Rescue's taproom event is Wednesday, April 24 in Minneapolis. RSVP on Facebook here.
