Despite what the meteorological calendar says, the summer starts with Whirlygig at Indeed Brewing Company. Mark your 2025 calendars for May 16-18 to take part in the whirlwind that is Whirlygig. Come for the beer and music, stay till your heart’s content of both.
We’re kicking off Whirlygig 2025 with the gospel-fusion powerhouse duo, Gifted Handz. Their positive, shoulder-moving performance is sure to get the party started right. Then Barlow will be putting on a badass R&B show, followed by Thomas Abban with a great band, some big vocals, and skillfully crafted songs. Early Eyes is closing the night down, and they are just the best. They always bring a great live show, have incredible songs, and are sure to leave a smile on your face.
Saturday’s line-up is a full stop, can’t miss, murderer’s row of the Twin Cities’ very best. Every act is an unbelievable highlight on a lot of the coolest sounds in the area. Everyone needs Anita Velveeta in their life, Lighter Co. is a badass rock and roll band, and Dilly Dally Alley is a high-energy, horn-infused party on stage. We can’t wait to have Juice Lord bring his hip-hop to NE from STP, and Obi Original is one of the best live shows in the Twin Cities right now. He’s sure to get you moving. After that, Dylan Salfer does things with a guitar that are inconceivable and, finally, the second night of Whirlygig comes to an end with a legendary local group of master musicians: Black Market Brass.
The final day of Whirlygig kicks off the ever-improvisational jazz/soul duo of Marvelous and Jovon Williams. Next is BAKKWOODDRIFT, then award-winning country/roots singer songwriter Clare Doyle. The Duluth-based psychedelic cowboys of Saltydog hold down the middle of the day, followed by local favorite Aby Wolf who will be joined by pianist-extraordinaire Kavyesh Kaviraj. As we wind down our weekend of beer, art, and music, we welcome the hometown jazz piano hero, Javier Santiago, to close down the Whirlygig stage and send us home happy.
In addition to a weekend full of music, there will be LSD (the beer!), Brightside Sea Salt & Lemon Lager, Flavorwave IPA and lots more beer among a selection of great food vendors including an exciting new partnership with Wisconsin-based food truck Chef Shack. Red Cow, KCM Eggrolls, and other local favorites will be back as well.
Longtime brewery collaborator Chuck U will be back doing a live painting, which will be auctioned off at the end of the weekend. Super creative and eco-friendly craft-maker Cool Trash will be here, selling unique products made from 100% recycled post-consumer and post-industrial waste plastic. New to Whirlygig, local record press Outta Wax will be live lathe-cutting vinyl records so you can watch the process and take one home. And don’t forget to head upstairs at Solar Arts in between drinks to see all the amazing artists above the taproom!
Indeed is excited to partner again with the creative minds of Flavor World. FW will occupy the Quincy Station parking lot on the SE corner of 14th and Quincy.
The Flavor Market will feature over 18 local artist vendors, an engaging Flavor World pop-up experience, games, music, drinks, and more.
