Beat Battle Presented by Griswald
“Heat Check” is a beat battle presented by Minneapolis producer and artist, Griswald, hosted in the Ox Taproom. This battle will feature four seasoned producers going toe-to-toe in an on-the-spot beat making competition. In each of the two rounds, producers will be given 20 minutes to make an original beat incorporating a sample provided by the host. They then present their beat to the crowd, and the winner is decided by popular vote and awarded Indeed-sponsored prizes. The pressure’s on & the vibes are high.
In this special edition of Heat Check on Thursday, September 24, local DJ and event producer, Joe Ederer, will step in as host! The battle kicks off at 7pm.
Your Host
Joe Ederer is a Minneapolis based musician, DJ and event organizer who can be found under the name “edererer.” Drawing inspiration from his background studying music production in school, Joe strives to put a spotlight on local music producers through beat challenges and showcases. Connecting with DJ’s who share nostalgic classics to contemporary grooves from around the world, Joe inspires a creative atmosphere of fresh and familiar sounds.
