Hunger Task force is Milwaukee’s only free and local food bank, and Wisconsin’s Anti-Hunger leader.
Mission Statement:
Hunger Task Force believes that every person has a right to healthy food obtained with dignity. They work to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger free community tomorrow.
Core Values:
Their core values are dignity, justice, equity, compassion and stewardship. Their goal and mission is to end hunger in our community and state.
What makes Hunger Task Force unique?
Hunger Task Force’s mission and Free & Local model are unique. Hunger Task Force does not charge local pantries for food, delivery or network membership fees. They believe that healthy, culturally relevant food should be provided free of charge based upon need, not upon an organization’s ability to pay. Their organization is supported 100% by the local community. Donors support Hunger Task Force because they believe in the Free & Local model to end hunger.
Every Tuesday in August, Indeed will be donating 100% of taproom net proceeds to Hunger Task Force.
This includes all sales of tap beer, to-go beer, growlers, crowlers, THC products, and Indeed merchandise!
