PINKCLOUD: Dry January in the Ox

A Celebration of Sobriety
PINKCLOUD is a FREE art and live music series occurring each of the first four Fridays of the month from 7-11pm in the Ox taproom. This series highlights art by Ben Hering, written words by Kelly Hering, and music curated and performed by Dave Power – all of whom draw inspiration from their own sobriety. Indeed’s NA drink selection will be enhanced by Minnesota’s first NA bottle shop, Marigold.
Ben Hering
Ben Hering, whose playful, yet bold visual art, made of found wood and recycled materials, will adorn the walls of the Ox for all of January. This installation focuses on themes of the past, ancestry and nostalgia – what Hering likes to call the “sting of memory.”

7:00pm – 11:00pm
Pat Keen: As a player and producer, Pat brings his roots in jazz into experimentation across all genres, challenging folk narratives and reshaping traditional instrumentation. Pat’s improvisational influence and extended techniques shine through his ensemble work, finding comfort in mixed meters, sophisticated harmonies and inventive instrumental manipulation. Regardless of what he’s doing, he exudes a contagious enthusiasm and warmth when performing.
Dave Power: Dave Power has been a live/studio drummer for over a decade and has toured nationally and internationally (the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) with bands such as The Staves, Aero Flynn, and Adelyn Rose. These days, he stays busy by playing in both jazz/improvised projects (58 Belvedere, PRINTS, Nelson Devereaux) and rock/folk/indie pop outfits (Solid Gold, bathtub cig, Jacob Mullis, Jake La Botz). He also has an electronic/downtempo project called White Dune, which released an ambient/drone record in October and has a new EP coming out on January 30th.
Pat Horrigan: Born in Wichita and residing in Minneapolis, Patrick is a guitarist that has developed his craft playing in many of the different Twin Cities musical pockets and served as a sideman to notable Jazz, R&B, experimental and instrumental artists over the last decade. His playing is contemplative and a bit skewered, shaped by the peaceful, sometimes harsh and weird life in the Midwest
